How did I become a Christian?

I came to Vancouver six years ago. It is a beautiful city but the employment rate was really low at the time. I went to a church and hoped someone could help me get a job. The ladies and gentlemen in the church were all very friendly but they kept asking me when I would be baptized. To avoid being constantly annoyed, I got baptized and I said to myself, now what? I still did not receive any jobs offerings from those church people, so I stopped going to church regularly.

Then, I decided to take some courses while looking for a job. After getting a job, I continued to take more courses. It was such a long and hard journey. Once while I was in the hospital emergency room, I sneaked out to take the final exam without the doctor’s permission. I finally got my CGA certificate and license and I also gave birth to a lovely baby boy whom I’ve longed for.

One day, I suddenly realized that God has been walking with me since I got baptized. Every time when I didn’t think I could make it, I did. And miraculous things happened when church friends prayed for me. What God gives me is more than I have expected. He knows what the best is for me.
